Mp3 & mp4
I put a bunch of MP3 and MP4 music on a USB drive but when I plug it in to the Ford it say no compatible media on USB.
I tested the USB drive on a computer and it played fine and also on my buddies Jeep which also worked fine as well.
Is there a trick getting the the 2014 to work with music on a USB stick?
Thanks

Not sure on the 2014, but my 2010 I had to only use mp3's and had to remove the mo4's from the thumb drive to work. I'm getting ready to make a stick for the wife's 14 explorer and was wondering if I needed to do the same. I'd look forward to your feedback if you try just mp3 files.

I had the same Problem over the weekend- read through the bottom link. somewhere in there it helped me. i tried about 10 times and finally it just worked. i think you have to say "play all" ...
it sounds so much better then XM and FM...

What SYNC do you have? There are different versions.
My 2014 XLT has SYNC with MyFord and has no problem reading Mp3 and WMA. I haven't tried Mp4.
In my experience: Satellite radio sound is horrible. USB sound is tolerable. FM sound is by far better than both. CD with WAV is best.

Sorry, I misunderstood you. I don't understand why anyone would want to upload music to the space allotted in Sync? Isn't it limited to like 10GB? One can get a 500GB HD and load it up with MP3 or WMA files and just plug it in and enjoy. Again, I ask why?

I read the link to the other thread and I got it going, it reads mp3 and mp4.
Whoever designed this system was either high as fu*k or were dropped on their heads when they were babies.
My Toyota one was plug and play, no messing around.
