Default Miss fire cylinder seven

I have a 2014 F150 XL 4x4 5.0 Quad cab. My engine light comes on about every 4 to 5 days. And stays on for one or two days during this time my truck idles really rough at low RPM’s. I had it scanned at the local auto parts store and I have a misfire in cylinder seven I change the plug and it was good for about six or seven days and Engine light came back on that following weekend I bought a coil pack new at auto parts store and it cleared up as soon as I started the truck now three days later it is miss firing again I hope it’s not a head gasket or the head going bad my truck has 100,000 miles on it if anybody has any ideas I am open to suggestions As soon as I get the money I will take it to a mechanic shop to have it diagnosed by a proper scan

I have not re-scanned it since I’ve put the one coil pack on I need to do that to see if They are going out like that it would ease my mind if that is the problem but everything I have read about so far leads me to a head gasket or head going bad

not sure about that, my mechanic said just the opposite after having to replace a coil on our mustang, the others are not bound for failure.

The next time the engine light comes on I will go to a part store and have it scanned just to see if it still misfiring on the same cylinder if it is then I will do a compression test and maybe check the plug to make sure it’s firing to the coil

Try using a Motorcraft coil pack not a aftermarket one from the autoparts store.
