I've been looking at black aluminum 4 inch boards, though. Six inch seem to really stick out there.

Can the OP, or another owner of these boards, tell me the approximate difference in height from ground to top of these boards versus ground to door sill? I'm guessing only three or four inches. Not much but could certainly help.
They are very very close to the same distance as stock from the top of the board to the ground. They are thinner than the stock tubes, so the bottom is slightly higher off the ground. They actually don't stick out any further than the chrome tubes.
Take a closer look at my photos in this thread, you'll see what I mean.

Thanks John. What I'm getting at is, not to compare to stock boards because I don't have boards at all right now. I'm curious as to how much lower the top of the Lunds are than the door sill. In other words, is the reach from ground to top of the board four or five inches less than the ground to the door sill? How much less of a stretch is it having these boards compared to no boards at all?

Cheers!

Gotcha!! I'll get a photo up tomorrow with a yard stick. Is yours 4X4?
I'll include a shot from the ground as well, but you have to remember my truck has a Boss Coilover setup, at 2" +/-, a 3" rear block, plus 315/70/17 tires/wheels, so I'm around 3 1/2" higher than stock. The way I'll set the yard stick should answer your question.

Thanks for going to all this trouble for me. No, it's not a 4x4.
It really doesn't matter how high your vehicle is. I just want to see the relative difference the boards make. Do they lessen the big step by three, four, or five inches, for example. That yard stick shot ought to do the trick.

Cheers!

Perfect, John. That's a 7-8 inch difference. And that's quite significant.
Very helpful. I'm sold.
Cheers!

Well, after all that... There's not one for the 2016 Scab. I was ready to throw money at them. I checked several sources.
