Hey John, thanks for all pictures, they look great! So you are happy with the quality and the sturdiness? How many brackets do they use? Is it just two in the front and two in the rear, same place as the factory brackets? The video I saw made it look like more brackets were used.

Also, it looks like you have the boards positioned all the way out, correct? They can move in or out about an inch, is that right? I would probably have them out too so I was concerned about how solid they would feel when in the out position.

Lastly, what seat covers do you have? Those look awesome!

Oh ya, I'm happy with the strength and quality, they're just as sturdy as the
OEMs.
On these, for our trucks, there are four brackets, two in front, and two in the rear. I think that video was for a different truck. Everything lined up perfectly, no screwing around with anything.
I have these slid as far in as I could, without the verticle lip rubbing on the rocker panel. You could move them out maybe another 1/2", but I wanted to tuck them as far as I could. I don't think there would be a problem if they were slide out as far as they could go, these things are pretty firm.
The only ting that offered any problem on the install, was lining up the bolts in the slide, with the holes in the brackets. You Just have to "NOT" bolt down one end, and then do the other, the board has to be tilted up on the inside edge to align things. No big deal at all, I just had to unbolt the front, tilt everything up, align the rear bolts, and I was good to go.

If you look closely at those side shots, you'll see the boards are pretty much the same stickout as the OEMs. The big difference, these cover the whole rocker, where as the stockers don't.

Thanks!! Those seat covers are Clazzios. I just got them in about a week or so ago, and forgot about the Clazzio thread on here, or I'd have posted that mod as well.

Are you thinking of getting these? Your reasons are the same as mine as to why I went with these.

I've looked at the Clazzio's before and really like them. Unfortunately there is only so much money in the truck fund so I need to prioritize and don't know when or if I will be able to get these.

As far as the boards go, am I really leaning towards these, I wish they were a little cheaper, but they appear to be a quality American made product with a lifetime warranty. I'm glad I stumbled upon your post about ordering these in the 09-14 Forum, I had seen the Lund and Westin versions before but was a bit turned off you had to order the brackets seperately, even though these appear to be the same price. I think my taste has changed over the past few months though, at first I was going to keep my tubes and use some brackets to extend them out a little further. I even made the brackets but haven't yet installed them. Then I was seriously considering the Rampage Slimline steps when I decided I wanted to go black and not deal with slipping on my *** in the winter with the factory steps.

The price is right on these at about $180 delivered, but I was worried about whether the step would be in the right place for my foot and how kid friendly they would be, plus about them rusting. When I saw your post I checked the Ionic boards out and liked how the plastic and aluminum will not rust, they are a nice wide platform for stepping, kid friendly, low profile, complement the bed step I added and should be very safe for use in the winter, plus it removes some more chrome. So yes, to answer your question I am pretty serious about ordering these. I just need to see a couple truck parts and replenish the coffers. Thanks for all your feed back about these, getting first had experience really makes me feel better about a purchase. If you do experience any issues, please shoot me a PM, I probably won't be ordering until September if I had to guess. BTW, can I ask what you paid? Did you order from runningboardwarehouse.com?

PS- post some pics of that interior, I want to see those seats!

I looked at those Slimline steps as well. I like them, I liked a lot of other combinations too, but liked these better for all the reasons we state. I knew what they'd pretty much be, and do, from having this type on a couple Superdudes from the factory. These look like they would go good with that bedstep you've got, just might be at the same level.
No problem providing feed back, I think it's what we all like to do, you know, talk about our trucks. LOL
I paid $288USD to my door, from the warehouse.
I was tossing around keeping the tubes on myself, but I was going to use some of that Rustoleum, "Peelcoat", I think it's called. I even bought 2 cans of it in Anthracite. Also was going to put some nonskid tape on the plastic pad. But just said screw it, for the minimal gain, I didn't think it was worth the time, and still wind up with less side protection than now.

Now the interior. I still haven't gotten the rear seats covered yet. I managed the fronts and the console by myself, but the headrests takes two people. The next time I go downstate, I'll see if my wife will give me a hand again, and I'll get the rears done. Those covers really are tight.

John, could you do me a favor when you have time? Could you take a picture of the running boards looking straight down from inside your truck with the door open? Could you also measure how much sticks out past the rocker? I would like to compare to my tubes, that part is a big factor for me since I think about half my tube is under the rocker panel.

Sure, I'll get to it tonight.

OK, here are the photos, hope they're what you wanted. Those are at the rear door, open, and closed. Excuse the dirt, I drove it to work this morning, and our yard is dirt/dust.

Hi John, sorry I didn't see the thread update email until this morning. Yes those work. I assume the middle one is the door open pic. And don't worry about the dirt, trucks are meant to be driven.

I am not normally a fan of running boards or steps but those look pretty good and they won't rust. The older I get the less I like jumping into the truck.
