Default Lower rear end appose to heightening front end?

Hello, just recently got a 2017 xl with STX package and I'm curious in leveling it but appose to raising the front I'd prefer to lower the rear. Is this possible? Reason is I don't plan on buying new wheels and tires anytime soon and having the front so high looks odd to me with all that space between the wheel and fenders

Yeah, pretty common. You can remove the block in the rear for approximately 1.25" drop. Do a search and I'm sure you'll find some pictures, pretty much levels the truck.

Your thinking is right. Thats what I did since I kept the stock 275/55R20's on my 13. Drop shackles in my case since im 2wd. Also you get the benefit of not having to deal with the long term stress placed on the front end components from lifting the front. Win-win

so you removed the blocks and added shackles since you are 2WD? Or just added shackles? I'm also 2WD (Arizona) so I want to make sure I'm doing it right

My truck didnt come with blocks. I used Groundforce drop shackles and used the hole that gave me 1.5" of drop. Its the 2nd to the last hole. (2" is the max which is the last hole). You may or may not require pinion angle shims. This will need to be determimed on a test drive after installing the drop shackles. If you get a driveline vibration youll need them. Luckily I did not require them.

It may work for you, but when I hook up my travel trailer, the rear end drops and the front end rises; just another reason to leave well enough alone. One thing leads to another.

You have a payload issue.
