There is a tsb about reprogramming the body control module to correct the false warning, yep my truck was doing it as well, I reprogrammed my truck and it hasn't come back on.

The tsb has the tech do a charging system diag and if found to be working as designed to reprogram.

The dealership I took it to is in a small town...but the closest one to me. They said they would have to put it on the big diagnostic machine for the battery to be covered by warranty. Supposedly that's what they did Tuesday. They said everything checked out fine, and that it didn't kick out any codes.

I hate to say it...but I'm not sure this dealership would even know about any tsb's.

Big diagnostic machine??? LMAO It's just a small module that connects to a standard laptop pc. I guess the "big" part is to hopefully make you feel good about it or something I dunno.

I know this because I own the machine they will use. https://rotunda.service-solutions.co...?SKU=164-R9810

Anywho all dealers have to have a certified tech on staff for warranty repairs, I did it for 11 years.

Did my tour of duty on the line at a small town dealer, you will usually get better service from small town dealers than big city because it's closer to home for everyone, small towns don't enjoy the competition large cities do and as a result deliver better service to their customers.

Shoot me your Vin# and I'll run it thru OASIS and post back the TSB that involves the procedure that your dealer can use.

LOL...well that explains a lot. Like I said, the first time I took my truck there, they said it might take 15 minutes, or 3 hours. I gave them my phone # and told them I have my phone with me at all times.

I dropped it off at 9:30 am (had an appt.). Went back at 12:30 and the truck was parked outside...finished. No phone call or anything.

I am not gonna mess with this dealership anymore...I will take it to another one 40 miles away.

I've been seeing the message on and off for the past few months and I drive the truck every day. No accessories hooked up at all.
