Aren't they pesky, eh?


Another site I'm an Admin on, was getting attacked by SPAM-Bots like every 30 seconds all night long... I ended up deleting blocks of Russian IP addresses... until it finally quit.

Someone woke up and took care of it .
all cleaned up and gone gone gone !

 

He was a pretty stupid Spammer... he used the same Username for every Spam thread he posted... so it was easy to eliminate.

 

We just figured you guys actually wanted black magic for girlfriend verkana.

 

I usually wake up and take care of it, but I had a rough night last night and ended up with only 2hrs of sleep. It so happens those reports came in during those two hours. Do us a favor please... just report one and then PM or something, or we then have to deal with a ton of Reported Post emails and threads in the Staff section (I merged them all into one)

 

Ok ...was hoping after so many spam tags that it would auto block the dude.


You should see about setting something like that up...


If a user gets say 5 spam tags in 24 hrs it auto blocks the user until a moderator can review and restore or let the ban stay !

 

Well there actually is a spam filter, and a lot of things get caught in it, but stuff gets by every now and then. I'm not sure how this one did, since it was so clear. I deleted all the threads and sent I want to say 20+ of them to the spam folks to add their patterns to the filter
