Default Looking to add a moderator or two!

So... this is a first for the forum- publically soliciting for a moderator. Usually, this happens with some staff discussion and deliberation but all of our ideas have been exhausted. Lets see how this goes. I posted this in two places.

What we're looking for is a moderator (or two) that can help keep this monkey show in order.

Candidacy requirements:

- You MUST be able to type well and be articulate beyond a third grade level.
- If you're active at night/ overnight, that's prime, but not a deal breaker.
- You must not have a short temper. We on the staff have to uphold the professional image of the significant majority of the forum.
- You MUST be able to type well and be articulate beyond a third grade level (repeated intentionally).

So- in order to manage the requests beyond "Because I want to" type things, post a reply here about why you want to help the forum. Between myself, @Martian, and @ymeski56- we will read, discuss, and contact whomever we collectively feel fits the bill.

Thanks all!

Go!

Review reports as they come in (usually involves reading the entire thread, not just the reported post). Deal with vendors breaking rules, just like any other user. Moderate possible spam events. Issue infractions and bans when necessary. Try and keep threads on topic. Watch the live feed a lot, hoping to catch fights and dissolve them before they turn into blood pools.

Do the divide up the territory ?
Seems like it could be overwhelming !
Are there a minimal # of hours required to be on the forum?

No territorial divide. All moderators peruse the entire forum.

No time requirements, just don't disappear! Lol! Honestly the way I usually present it to people is that this is a voluntary thing. If you want to go back to a regular member, I won't stop you. No harm, no foul. This forum is usually pretty well self contained. There's a few outlying situations that arise (feel free to look up "Free Wings" or the SSI/ SoCal Speed debacle).

Just out of curiosity, Why do yall not divide the forum?

I belong to probably 15 online forums (I'm an engineer hillbilly living in a city apartment, don't judge me) I think they all have some kind of division of duty.

The admins and supermods can cover the whole site, but other lower-level mods cover a few subforums.
