I agree with what the others have said. Do a general once over, and/or have a shop/mechanic you trust check it out for you. As long as everything is tight, filled, and working as it should right now, you shouldn't have a problem. When I'm driving the semi for long distances with few deliveries, I stick to a 3 hour rule. After 3 hours of driving, I will stop and do a walk around, check the tires, lights, maybe fluids, and just visually inspect things. 3000 miles is a good bit of travel, so keeping an eye on it, and spotting something before it gets too far gone could make quite the difference.

Carry a small/cheap tool kit with you, and some duct tape, wd-40, wrenches, rags, extra gas can, etc. Other than that, good luck and safe trip!

If everything is in good mechanical order, it won't be any different then driving something stock height, when I had my Lifted F350 I drove it between Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia a couple times pulling a 30 ft trailer

This is all great news. I was worried mostly because of my past experiences with modified Jeeps. I burned through universal joins, tires, axles and spider gears like crazy.
A truck like this is so much longer / wider, therefore not as aggressive an angle on things but I've no real time experience with it.
I do though have an issue with something I've noticed lately. When in OD and at about 85kph (53mph) I've noticed surging and bumping in the drive train. It is like it is not happy in gear at that certain point. I switch it out of OD and it seems fine. I can switch back into OD once it is under load or going faster without issue. Not sure what the hell is happening. Browsed a couple of threads here on similar issues but now I'm even more confused.
Seems there is a question about plugs, cats being plugged and so on.

You shouldn't have excessive angles.. You have a suspension lift.. If you have a lift and decided to throw on extra spacer that overpronated your ball joints then you might wanna have a once over to check for your concerns.. The bumping?? Had it once trailer had a bent rim and 4 jacked up tires.. It gave me a hard time plus a rough ride...

So I'm in AZ and not sure if I ever want to go back to BC. Ya its hot here but I am so damn tired of the rain in BC so this is great. Took the scenic route and 4 days getting here, could have done it in 2 but so much to see. 3200km one way so far not including all the driving I’ve done here. Be interesting how all this wears the tires especially pulling the bike trailer and through the desert.
Found some real great places to ride my bike that I brought along and go off-road with the truck. The off-road pics here are from the Sedona Red Rock Canyon with hopefully more to come from around Phoenix area and Death Valley some time later. Measured the depth of the tire tread on the Nitto 35’s to be 0.570” deep when I left BC, I’ll see what it is when I get home.

So far the truck has performed very well but as expected is costing me aprox $100 / 470km which is not awesome but not horrible either considering that I'm also pulling an enclosed bike trailer. Motor is getting a bit louder though so I may be in there doing the infamous cam phazer / chain change when I get home. I took the truck into a trusted mechanic friend and had the plugs changed along with the upper control arms and a full oil change etc. I changed the front disks for a pair of upgraded slotted and cross drilled ones as well due to the stock ones warping. It's been a great truck so far and am looking forward to many more kms of fun.

I'm a little confused...

If you were so concerned about making from BC to AZ and back uninterrupted by mechanical failure, why would you take your truck offroad once you got there? I'm all for offroading, but that is where your breakdown is most likely to occur. Also, were you towing the trailer in OD? That is a no-no, especially with 35's. What gears do you have? I wouldn't cruise in OD, even without a trailer, with 35's and a 4 speed tranny with anything less than 4.10's but that's just my overly cautious opinion.

My concern was mostly about what to expect from long hours of highway use vs a lifted truck. I know what to expect from off-road excursions and believe me I did nothing that extreme as to risk carnage. As far as towing in OD, I never have and never will; been driving and towing for over 35 years - just never with a lifted F150.
The truck has stock gearing and no issue with OD on it's own (when I actually use it).
I brought it down here to explore off-road. I bought this truck due to it's rugged appearance and hopefully build and so far it has not let me down.
I know that an F250 or even an F350 might have been better suited but did not find one that I liked for the money I wanted to spend. This truck was mint and built to suit my needs and I'm pretty happy with it.

You shouldn't have the cam phaser issue's on a 2007, they were fixed after the 2005 model year.

I do not want any surprises once I'm half way down or something.

No matter how prepared you are something can always go wrong. I took my family on vacation in my wife's minivan. It was almost a year old and had less than 10k on the meter. Pinched wire from the factory and next thing you know I am stuck in PA with an electrical/engine fire. 6-1/2 hours to get to dealer 85 miles away and wait for rental car and all this with two kids 6 and 2. I thought new van I would be all set. Guess not. I agree with the folks before me. Check it all out before you leave have some supplies and have fun. Don;t worry every mile waiting for something to break.
