Question Long Trip planned with lifted 4X4 - concerned about damage!!

I'm planning a round trip from BC (CAN) to AZ (US) 5000km (3100mi). My truck is lifted 6" and has Nitto 35's. It's fairly stock otherwise with the exception of K&N, Flow-master and a Super Chip set-up. My question for those of you in the know is, am I asking for trouble? I know there is going to be some wear on the tires, universals etc. just not sure how much. Also hoping to do it pulling a small motorcycle trailer at some point. The trailer is only about 1600lbs loaded with my bike etc and has a single axle.
The last thing I want is to kill the truck in some way going to AZ and back. All universals are recently new, tires are new, truck has 114,000km (71,000mi)
Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi Pittbull!
Sounds like an awesome trip especially with the bike! Unfortunately I don't have much experience to share with you at this time but I am definitely interested in how you and the truck fare on your long distant journey as I'm planning a trip from Vancouver, B.C. to Alaska in the near future. Keep us posted!

What about the extra stress on the universals due to the lift and large tires? I've also heard about issues with these trucks having problems with the plugs burning out in 07's and have also heard about issues with the cam phasers.
I do not want any surprises once I'm half way down or something.

If you've never had any troubles with your truck before you'll be fine.. Have a shop do a once over for you.. Make sure to get a oil change/ fluid check before departure... My truck has 35in nitto trails on it and I drove from atlanta to baton rouge..(nowhere close to your distance).. Nice smooth ride.. Whole trip there and back.. I have trouble in rain but who doesn't with M/T tires... Enjoy the trip and scenery..

going from bc- az is no different than driving around downtown and putting 3000 miles on the truck.

youll be fine.

ive taken mine on many 1500+ mile trips with no issues.
