Hmmm, I don`t know about the long term storage being a bad thing. I think that would depend on a lot of factors, eg. location, weather conditions, humidity etc. I have a 2013 Mustang GT convertible that I bought new & it only has 2,400 some odd miles on it. It sits in Pennsylvania in one of those Amish garages that was delivered by a truck & set on stones in my back yard. My 2015 Kr sits in the driveway all year & only has a little over 8,000 miles on it. I like to think I take care of my vehicles. These pics are from two days ago:

"Standard"? I'm not a believer that you can only get great results if you go with PPG or Sikkens or something, that's a goofy elitist attitude. I've seen paint jobs done with rustoleum that look great. Yeah, it takes longer to make it look great, but it can be done. I'm also not trying to enter a show with it, just make it look good so that when driving it, you're not embarrassed.

He did, very clearly.

name calling / lashing out

Any other questions can be asked politely in a PM.

Your vehicles look great and obviously storage doesn't have to be bad for a vehicle when done correctly. I believe the OP's question here was more a concern about if paying extra money for storage would be worth it in the long run. I've kept many vintage vehicles for 10 or more years and always came out ahead financially. Even when driving them daily. But it helps when it is a vehicle that has some collector appeal, and nice regular cab trucks do. This is especially true as they are becoming more and more rare.

You could wind up storing it long enough for the government to outlaw ICE engines

Then it’s value will be less than zero after sunk costs are factored in.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunk_cost

They will do this eventually, no matter the level of denial among vehicle enthusiasts.
