I have a 06 scab 4.6 2wd that I am looking to add a locking gas cap too.. I have found that Masterpro and Stant make one for my year.. has anyone tried either of these brands.. is there other brands that are better. What is the best one to use that wont throw codes.. I called factory and they want $60 for one.. I think that's crazy.. can anyone help me with choosing.. Thanks for ur help..

 

You could try amazon.com. Got slant 2014 for $27 or so.

I don't know about where you're at, but around here, if you go fishing on the river and park your truck, if you don't have a locking gas cap, the meth heads might steal some gas, but if you have a locking gas cap, they use a screwdriver to punch a hole in the tank so they can drain out some gas. So either way you're out some gas, but one way you usually have enough gas to make it somewhere, and you don't need a new gas tank....or you kept honest people honest, you have no gas left cause what they didn't steal drained out, and you need a new gas tank.....
