Lifting questions! Need help...
I didn't know where to post this type of question, so I put in general discussion.
So here's the deal...My truck is leveled 3" in the front, and I have a block on it now that has it sitting 1/2'' lower in the back. (Just to give an idea how high it actually sits in front and rear compared to stock) I use it as a work truck, but also a personal, so I don't wanna go to high on lifting. I was thinking about a 2" body lift maybe. Don't get me wrong now, I like the way it sits now without lift, but my personal preference, I'm wanting an extra 1.5 inches, more on the 2 inches side. I've heard a lot of bad stories and good stuff about body lifts and i don't know what to do here.
The only 2 things of lifting that I know about is body lift and suspension lift kits. I'm not an expert and I'm asking for help, not an argument or anything.
Ive seen different little things people say they use for just a few extra inches of lift but I don't know what they are and how those things work to lift, so maybe an explanation how and why on whatever.
Ive read that rancho makes a kit but 4 inches to where you can keep the stock wheel, I dont wanna go that high. And I wanna keep my stock rims I have on it.
If anyone knows what they are talking about when it comes to this, please help me out. 2.5 inches is max highest I want to go on it and keeping STOCK rims <--no aftermarket... thats why I'm asking about the BL option.
I hear and read that pretty much all lifts require an aftermarket rim. Edit: I have 35x12.5r18 Cooper STTs
2006 f150 4x4
Thanks.
