Question Lift Question..Need Help?

I should be getting a new 06 F150 XL 4x4 either tomorrow or Wensday and I want to put a leveling kit on it. I really want to put either a Rancho Quicklift or a Hell Bent Steel Spacers on it. Ive heard of people putting both on of them on to get a total of around 4.5 to 5 inches of lift. and putting a bigger block and and an add a leaf kit on the back. Im new at this and am not sure if it can be done. Can it??

Default leveled 06

I have an 06 F150 XL 4x4 with a 3" Hell Bent Steel leveling kit on it. It raises the front of the truck 3" - I didnt measure it, but 4" - 5" definitely not. The spacer itself is smaller than that, but the difference in angle of the control arms brings the total to 3". This is the largest amount of lift possible I know of without going for a complete suspension lift. The front of my truck still sits barely lower than the rear, which is still stock. This may not be true for your truck - you will see how it goes. The HBS is a quality kit and I have not had any problems with it or my truck resulting from the installation (coming up on 3 years ago). Good luck and let us know how it goes.

You cannot stack kits (or kit on top of quicklift). It puts everything at an unsafe angle, because your stock suspension is not built for that kind of stress, and tension.

Okay thanks for the help. Do you know of any thing i could do to raise the front end up other than a body lift in addition to a suspension lift kit? I dont want to spend the money on a big suspension lift though. Mainly because I dont have that much money.lol but I would really like to get more ground clearance. I know that I can put a bigger block or add a leaf kit on the back to raise it up, I just dont know about the front.

the 4x4 model of your truck already has a 1.5" lift (block) on the rear

W/ a 4x4, and adding a leveling kit, you should be able to squeeze a 35" w/ minor trimming and not need a body lift or large suspension kit. But I have a 2wd so someone w/ a 4wd please verify that for me, max tire size for a level kit f150.

yes. 35s with a leveled 4x4 - depending on the exact tire and rim (stock yes)

My friend put on a leveling kit and a bigger block on his 98 f150 with 33s and it looks awesome. Im thinking of doing that same kind of set up except instead of a bigger block in the back putting a 1" add a leaf kit on.
