lift + insurance?
im 16 years old and recently put a lift kit on my truck. now not 1 insurance company wants to insure me. has anyone else had this problem before?

Aren't you covered under your parents policy?
I could see a young guy like yourself calling in and them not wanting to do it perhaps...but if your dad called or something. Just thinking aloud....

They are probably afraid that you are going to try to run over everything with your lifted truck...
Have you tried online insurance, like eInsurance? They can't see your truck from your computer and if they ask to see a picture, send them one from before the lift was installed.

none of the insurance companies ive talked to have wanted to see a picture. its just when they ask if its modified yes or no and you say yes they say sorry we wont cover you.

thats fine with me, all i was really trying to find out was if i got in a accident and it was my fault and the other person was hurt would insurance cover that or would they say screw you you modified the vehicle without telling us so were gonna drop you with out covering the other person?

Gotta get your own policy?? That sucks. I'm 20 and just for kicks I got a few quotes to see how much my own policy would be. For the same coverage as I got now would be over $500 per month. Right now I'm only paying $140 on my mother's policy. I have a perfect driving record too.
