Aren't you covered under your parents policy?

I could see a young guy like yourself calling in and them not wanting to do it perhaps...but if your dad called or something. Just thinking aloud....

They are probably afraid that you are going to try to run over everything with your lifted truck...

Have you tried online insurance, like eInsurance? They can't see your truck from your computer and if they ask to see a picture, send them one from before the lift was installed.

Have you tried an online quote? I was looking at the esurance website for an online quote and I don't see where they ask if the vehicle has been modified. Give it a try, it can't hurt to check them, or another online insurer out.

Gotta get your own policy?? That sucks. I'm 20 and just for kicks I got a few quotes to see how much my own policy would be. For the same coverage as I got now would be over $500 per month. Right now I'm only paying $140 on my mother's policy. I have a perfect driving record too.
