Depends which year. Pre-2009's, nope. You just need either a Tridon EP-27 or load resistors fer turns.

2009+... due to the SJB, you need to start paying attention to things.

Do they have to be? I am not 100%certain.

However I had to.

I know next to nithing about electrical systems but will share my experience.
When I initially switched my interior lights to LEDs my Remote Start would not work. This also happened when I once had a burned out front map light.

I figured the LEDs didnt have enough of a draw (or other problem) that wouldnt allow the remote start to work properly. Switched to canbus LEDs and have not had the same issue. Coincidence? Other underlying problem? I dont know... but I've not had problems and they were not that much more expensive.

Not much help... but others will sure to chime in.

*** Edit***
Forgot to mention mine is a 2010.
