King Ranch Leather Restoration Attempt
Alright all, I have had my '06 King Ranch for two weeks now. After doing some reading, it seems my seats have been neglected prior to my ownership. However, it appears they aren't dirty but just dry and faded. It also seems I will never regain that beautiful deep brown color.
I've got two bottles of the King Ranch Saddle shop conditioner. I will be using hot water and baby shampoo to clean the seats and then rubbing in the conditioner. I'll start the thread off with two pictures I've got. All the leather looks like it does in these two pics. I'll update as soon as I get into a heated garage this weekend tow work on them.

Google up Doc Bailey's leather restorer. I'm not sure if they have something in the best color but I've used it on a black leather steering wheel and it did a very nice job on it.

So I did the center console lid first. Not too impressed. It would seem this leather does hit a point of no return. It got darker, but not much. Also where the former owner's arm rested has a grease stain that I couldn't get out. Still going to do the rest to at least hydrate the leather if anything. Looks like The Leather Doctor is the best option but I don't have $800 to spend on leather chemicals.

Leather cpr is what I use.. I did the baby soap and water method too. My signature says what happened to that seat.. This emblem fell off a week or so after the original owner bought it.. It has been in a console for 12 years. The last picture is in the sun ( with a tiny bit of editing )

Well the '07 KR Screw I had previously had this same interior. The leather is Aniline dyed (old school) and requires regular conditioning (weekly!) to maintain suppleness and to protect the finish.
Mine weren't as bad as those shown in this thread but the PS front was showing some fading and the DS front was showing some wear from me getting in and out as well as the previous owner.
The rear seats btw were pristine so I had an example to follow if I was to refinish the front. There are aniline re-dye kits available and if I can find the link, I will post it. The other option is to have the upholstery redone and there are a few shops that can get this same type of leather and color. It won't be cheap though...
