Agreed. And while I find it unlikely his truck could beat the claimed vehicles, some ( rare percentage ) people do make true sleepers.....

Out of something you would never know could perform like it did.

So before completely bashing the guy, I would say at least let him state what he's done, ect ect. There's enough experienced knowledge on here that we will know if what he says is legit or not.

Then again, he has been MIA since start. Maybe he didn't expect it to explode like it did. lol

For those wanting us not to bash, I understand this and agree, but base part of my assumption off the above item from his post.

A full size Silverado with the 4.3L that is little mod-ed, means he hasn't done much to it. To take on those type of vehicles, he would have had to dump a ton of cash into this vehicle. We're talking at a minimum an intake/exhaust, pulleys, possibly e-fans, maybe more gears (depending on which way he went, it'd hurt either bottom or top end), tuner/programmer and most likely a blow dryer (S/C or turbo). To run the speeds he's talking about he'd need some expensive sticky rubber, and suspension work to assist this truck at higher speeds. I bet a 5.3L Chevy Silverado would need the majority if not all those parts to keep up with the SRT's. And that's just looking at quick bolt on parts.

Also, I wouldn't believe the stock 5-spd manual would not be able to withstand the power this motor would have to churn out to actually take out the vehicle mentioned. He most likely would had to upgrade the tranny to support that power, which also takes some considerable $$$.

So he's either lying about the little modded part, or truly how fast/quick the truck is. Don't know which one, but there's no other way around it.

Typhoon or cyclone, good possibility. Silverado with a 4.3? I think not. On that same note though, I have smoked plenty of chargers, challengers, porsches etc in my crappy little Honda Civic, the only catch is that they didn't know we were racing.

the 4.3 motor is basically a V8 350 less 2 pistions, you can build the living snot outta these motors, now mind you stock they are horribly underpowered.

what alot of guys are doing, who want a wicked fast silverado/sierra is to buy a nbs 99-06 truck and the 6.0 motors will bolt right in, change the computer out and everything is plug and play. however the 4l60 trans will die if it's not built or just swap in the 4l80 right away. hell there are guying dropping in escalade LQ4's and with mild port work and juice easily pushing 700hp....like i said before with some homework and cash you can built one hell of a truck. i wish i had some pics of my S10 from back in the day, '82 S10 regular cab short box, 350 block, punched out 60 over, double hump heads, cammed, headers, mds ignition--thing was insane fast, but a oil pump failure and BANGO!!! you got junk, oh well it was fun then, lol. there is a ******** in my town who has a pink nova 2 with a supercharger and a fully built motor and runs over 600hp at the wheels, one would never imagine it til you see him fry the tires an entire city block, lol, LOL THE SLEEPER!!

hello everyone, I'd like to address two things real quick -

About the street racing. I usually do not drive that fast, I can count the number of times i've been above 110 mph on public roads on two hands. I understand this could put someone else in danger. The road was completely open and clear with a handfull of cars on a 6 lane strech of highway. Otherwise I wouldn't have gone to those speeds.

The second thing, about yall not believing this (why would I have posted in the first place???). The truck is an '06 single cab with NV3500 5spd and competition clutch, 3.90 & truetrac, wait4meperformance tune, 100 shot nitrous, exhaust, little bolt ons, etc. Let me first say that the truck is not fast or quick. It's no lightning or typhoon. I never use the spray until 3rd gear so you could imagine the 0-60 time is unimpressive to say the least. Also the srt8 300C I raced a while back was fair and square from around 60-65 mph and was over before 100mph. I pulled in front, he backed off and did not want to go again. I wouldn't have posted on here except I was beat so bad I had to try and find this guy, as I said before, he really deserves his props. I am on vacation now and will be back tues night or wed and will take pictures and post for all the naysayers who need proof (which gets on my nerves but is understandable as I'm on a forum with brand loyal guys)

Why would you try and make a truck fast at higher speeds if you don't do it often? And less ppl are gonna race from highway speeds on up at least where I live. I've raced no more than 5 ppl from anything but a stop light/sign. Not tryin to bash you just curious as to your reasoning for it

aany pics of thie m0dded 6er? it honeslty is possible to make that 4.3 run but with the little bolt ons and tune its kind of hard for it to beat a chrysler 300 srt8 you do know the srt8 chrysler means a 6.1 in that car right????

I agree. I may be a Ford guy, but I readily admit that a Dodge will run like a raped ape.

Some people that buy cars like that never have any intention of ever driving them any differently than they would a Camry. Kind of like that old man you see driving a Z06, you have to ask why? I knew a guy that bought a Vette for the status, he was actually afraid of the power so he never got on it. So its feasible that he did beat one, but it wasn’t the awesome power of his 6-er that did it.
