add me to the list of confirmed locations to find it 2011 xlt. passengers side kick panel.
when I bought mine the dealer said they would have to take it back to service but wouldnt charge me since I just bought it. I went back and told them where it was and laughed that they charge people. My salesman said yeah they hide the number in all sorts of places. So I guess the charge is for that knowledge and a tech to take off a panel.

Just bought a 2014 and it came with just one key. My local keyman setup a second smart key without the remote opener function for me for $70, and I just did the two key ignition turn on solution for my factory keypad code, and it worked slick as a whistle. Thanks for the input here.

Verified. But you have to own 2 factory keys.

Does anyone know if you can do the two key trick with the newer smart keys used on vehicles with push button start?

You can download the manual from the Ford Motor Company website. You have to register the VIN and set up an account but that's good for 2 reasons.

1) you get the correct manual for your truck

2) you can see if there are any recall issues that might exist

May even help resetting the door panel code.

FYI I figured this out for those of us with 2015+ trucks without actual keys...

The process is the same as with an actual key but you have to insert your key fobs, one at a time, in the indented space that's underneath the rubber mat in the console storage space in front of the shifter. That's obviously for those of us with center consoles...I'm not sure where the key space is for 2015+ trucks without the center console.

Hope this helps somebody out there.

That's not correct. Anyone can download manuals without registering. The manuals are not trim level specific, so take the most current manual for your model year.

Registering does get you the added benefit of more information about your truck including recalls, Sync updates, etc. but if you just want the manuals anyone can get them.
