Default Keyless entry...help!

Just bought my 2005 fx4 about a week ago. I bought it from a used car dealership and they didn't know the unlock code for it and told me to go to my local ford dealership (sethwadlyford) and they should have a "access code" but when I went there they wanted $45!!!! I searched for every answer and haven't found any.

Look under your dash and almost directly above the parking brake you should see a white or black plastic box about the size of a pack of cigarettes and on it it should have a label with a 5 digit number on it that's your factory security code that's how it is on my truck hopefully yours too

I didn't see anything there. I read that I'm going to have to take out the back seat.

Just hope the previous owner didn't input a personal code, as some do.

Disconnecting the battery would probably return it to default, hopefully.

$45 doesn't sound too bad to me........

Depending on what year your truck is determines if it's by the parking brake or if it's behind the back seat. I have an 05 and it's behind the back seat. I bought my truck about 4 months ago and took it to a ford dealer and they told me the code for free, so maybe try a different dealer if there's one close by. And even if the previous owner programmed their own code, the factory one will stay over ride it and then you can program your own. Pretty simple to do once you get the factory code.
