I hit a deer once in my old '98 Expedition and it was cheaper for me to replace the bumper, bumper plastics and a turn signal than the $500 deductable I would have had to pay insurance. I only saved like $20, but it was better than having a claim on the insurance.

From what I can tell its time to get a big *** bumper. Look at the iron bull bumpers or fab four bumpers. They are sick and next time a deer hits you all you have to do is throw it in the back. But it is legal for you to take the deer home to eat it as long as u call it in and tag it. It also has to be in season.

Well I only have 100 dollar deductible and it going to cost more than a grand to fix

Our deer range from about 150 lb to 250 lb. The last axis I shot weighed about 250 lb. You should hear about hogs. Most of those range from 250 lb to 400 lb. Lets also take into fact that they like to play in West Texas...where I-20 and I-10 have 80 mph speed limits. They have also recently passed legislation to remove night time speed limits in the state. Even if you have the best replacement bumper money can buy, you hit hog doing more than 60 your walking to the closest garage unless you have a sat phone, cell service is a bit iffy no matter who your carrier is. Did I mention last time I shot a hog it was going 45 mph down cotton rows (I know cause that's what the speedo on the truck said running right next to it while I had a shotgun out the window getting ready to put a 3rd slug into it). Definitely not something you want to hit.

If your looking for a replacement front end, Ranch Hand is the most economical. Best protection for the lowest cost. If you want nicer bumpers, check out Buck Stop, Fab Fours, or Throttle Down Kustoms (TDK doesn't make any for half ton Fords).
