Default Ignition Delay....

My 2012 XLT ecoboost has an issue when trying to start it after it has sat for a few hours. When turning the ignition to start nothing at all happens for about 2 seconds and then it cranks as normal. Once it starts to crank it does it no problem and sound normal. I have found that turning the key to the on position first for like 5 seconds makes the issue go away. Also once it starts the first time it will ignite like normal with the fluid motion and no delays. Any ideas what is wrong? Maybe the fuel pump just needs a second? Thanks.

Weird, my 2 day old 2015 has the exact same behaviour, right down to bring tto ally fin after starting and ****ting off and coming back. I even tried waiting a couple seconds after turning and releasing the key to see if it starts, just delayed and it did not. Some people described that theirs did or would. I might try the other key too, but ultimately geuss I'll ask the dealer. My 2012 f150 started totally normal.
