Default I think im done with lifted Fords...

Man, idk if I'm going crazyyyy but I drove my cousins Denali and damn does it have some power. My 05 lifted with 35s is no where close to what the Denali is putting out. So I might just trade in my truck for a 2009^ model lariat with a 6.2. I love my truck and it's stance but I just miss the power. I could regear but a new truck sounds gareaaaat!
Just an idea in my whittle head.

You can't compare a 5.4 to a 6.2.... My escalade(2009) has 22 inch OEM rims and 6.2 just like the Denali.... The power is there when you need it... God knows my Escalade has ton's of power.... BUT.... It's 2WD... Hook weight to it and you've got a sluggish truck with a HUGE engine..... Hook the same weight to our 5.4's and we'll pull all day.... This I know... Get you a programmer and get some of the power back or loose the heavy rim tire combo.... I'm hell on wheels with my Edge CS...

So you're comparing a lifted 05 to a new(er) stock height pickup that beats yours by roughly 100 hp and 50 # of torque??

Yep. Exactly That.
That's why I want to get a newer one so it can be comparable.
That is the main reason anyone gets a new truck correct?

Ummm... if you're in the mood for something new with more power anyway, where's the support for "GO NEW!!!!". If you've got the finances, the desire, and the... um... finances- why the hell not? Go for it man. Be happy in what you drive and you'll be happy with your purchase. Nothings worse than driving something you love but having a bugging/nagging feeling that its lacking something.

I gotta admit, I have the INTENSE desire for a Bugatti....but unfortunately only the finances for a poster of one. But it's a BIG poster at least!
