Default How to Post a Pic

Until we get the photo gallery up and running, here is how to post a picture of your truck in a thread.

If it's a file from your computer:
1. Make sure you are in "Advanced Mode" rather than "Quick Reply" mode
2. Click on the paperclip (attachment)
3. Browse for the file on your computer
4. Click Upload to upload the file
5. Click on "Close this Window" to close the Manage Attachments window
6. Click on the paperclip again and choose the image you just uploaded.
7. You can "Preview Post" to see if it is what you think it is

If it's a link:
1. Click on the "Insert Image" icon (the mountains)
2. Put in the URL
3. Click OK
4. Preview Post to see if it is what you think it is.

Hope this helps.

Jon,

If I wanted to post a picture from my gallery in a thread how would I do it? Sorry if it's a dumb question and I overlooked the obvious. Thanks, Ralph

the easyest way to post a picture on a fourm is to use photobucket.

you just upload you picture to www.photobucket.com.

then once youhave it uploaded, you just coppy and paste the .IMG link, and your picture will shou up where ever you put the link.

the best part is that it automatically resizes large immages so they dont strech out the page to much.

White....this is the best way to do it.

Go to the picture in the gallery that you want to display in the thread. Click on the pic (make sure you are not looking at the thumbnail). Then right click the picture and select properties. This should give you some information on the picture. Then you want to copy the url line (the long line that starts with http://....). After you have copied this, you can come back to the thread and click on the "Insert Image" button and then paste the url in the pop-up box that is shown. When you post the thread, you should be able to see the picture then!

Let me know if you have any troubles!

Looks like that worked Thanks.
One more question. To view a users gallery currently you have to go to the gallerys and look them up. Can something be modified so that you can have a direct link to the gallery in their profile? Thanks for the help Jon
