5k-ish for tires and 6k for oil using Mobil 1 synthetic

5-6k for both oil and tire rotation.

I'll typically change my oil and filter every 5k-8k miles with a synthetic (yes you can go longer, I choose not to). I'm going to be putting new tires on soon, the KO2's you actually mentioned, and the reason I went with them is the 3 peaks designation and the snow traction they offer, not to mention they look just amazing. I got 285's for my truck (which should fit after I get my level on in the front) while my dad has the same tire, 315's on his F350.

I'd be beyond pissed if the dealer let my new truck go past 10K without changing the oil. Something's messed up here....

The olm calculations are based on driving habits, conditions etc. - real time algorithms. It’s not just a timer that counts down. I changed the oil on my wife’s ‘18 Edge w/ 2.7 eco boost. It was at about 6800kms (4200 miles) it was its 1st oil change. The olm showed 62% oil life left. I always preferred 1st oil change early like around 2-3000 kms. But I figured I would follow Fords maintenance schedule. I chickened out at 6800kms. Based on the olm alone I would have been good until about 15,000 kilometers.

Keep it simple

I keep it simple every 5k oil change and rotate tires. I take it to my local Ford dealer and have them do the works. May cost you a little more at dealer but if something should go wrong with the engine it’s on Ford. Tires wrangler all season look for a little more aggressive open tread pattern for reasonable off road, mud and snow traction. That spinning tires when it’s raining means lighten the foot It’s not a race and you’ll save a little gas. I buy my tires at Walmart and purchase the lifetime balance and road hazzard Reason I go Walmart is cost less(my last set of wrangler advantage 265r65 18 was $660 tax and all) same tires at dealer was over $900. And if you do tear up a tire while traveling you can always find a Walmart to get a replacement.

Hey guys, have a few general questions about my F150 and would love your advice here. Earlier this year got a brand spanking new 2018 F150 XL 4x4 3.3L V6 with 8' bed. It came with Wrangler tires, but since I'm a total newb, had a few questions if anyone is willing to share their thoughts:

1. How often do you get your f150 oil changed? I've put 17,000 miles on my truck now... when I took it into a dealership at 12,000 miles they said the oil levels are perfectly fine. The oil gauge is still right in the middle at 17,000 miles. Used to hear you should get oil changed every 3,000 miles, then it changed to every 5,000... is it different for a F150?

2. How often do you guys get your tires rotated on your F150?

3. I'm using the Wrangler tires that came with my truck. They're pretty solid multi purpose tires, but noticed some gripping issues on wet surfaces at times. Would kind of prefer beefier tires that could handle a little more intense offroading and that would grip better. Any you could recommend?

Thanks for any advice on the above guys and have a happy New Year!

Oil is 5K
Tires 3K (35" Mud Tires)
Air Filter 10K (K&N Intake Clean) Although, I usually just clean it when it looks dirty.

I have an Excel Sheet that I made to keep track of my maintenance and used formulas to calculate the next service mileage. My truck is lifted and tuned so no dealer trips for me.

agree with going to Walmart for the tires.
Although the Nissan dealer usually has the best prices.
No road hazard or national warranty though.

PepBoys also have a great deal on our snows.

lol why? Worried they'll call the Ford Police on you? You know they deal with heavily modified trucks on a regular basis right?

Regardless of the miles driven or how they're driven, the OLM will trigger at 10K miles or 1 year.

I changed the oil in my new truck at 1K miles, will get it again at 5K, then every 5K. Tires I'll do every other oil change or 10K miles.
