Default How long for plates?

How long until you received your plates and tags from the dealer after purchase?

In Mississippi the dealer does not collect sales tax on the new vehicles, the customer goes to the tax assessor and pays the tax, title fees, and registration.
I opted for personalized vanity plates and got the plates in 10 days.

In AK we don't have sales tax, when you buy you pay DMV fee's at time of sale ($200-$300) and they submit for registration and plates..ect. typically it takes 2.5-3 months to get them. They write you a 90 day temp tag and if things don't show up by then they say just come back and they will write another.

That's how it is here in Texas as well.
2-3 months though is crazy!
I've heard others receive theirs in a few weeks!

Ohio... I paid a $6 transfer fee and the salesmen walked out with a screw driver took them off my old car and when they swung the f150 around for me he put them on I was good to go! Registration showed up in mail about 2 weeks later.

Never heard of such a thing. Here in Missouri you can get plates the day you buy the truck. Unless it's on a Saturday
