Default How to clean tires with white letters?

So while I was about to clean the truck today, I was thinking about what kind of tire shine formula I should use. I know I used Armor All for my Edge but it had just plain black tires. My truck has the tires with white lettering on it, I was wondering what tire cleaning formula you guys use for your white lettered tires? Is it okay to use the Armor All? I don’t want the letters to fade.

I've always used S.O.S. pads for this.

Won’t the steel leave scratch marks on the letters?

I've never had any issues! S.O.S pads are quite mild compared to something like Brillo, but have just enough abrasive quality to make those white letters shine almost like new!

Thanks for the info! Do you think I can also apply Armor All on it to clean the rest of my tire?

Sure! Rubber is pretty durable, so it's not like you could easily damage it.

Remember if you want to pure white again or any other color. They do make special paint just for that.

Soapy water and a nylon brush works just fine.
