Default Hit a Puddle and Battery Died

I was driving through the Walmart parking lot and hit a good sized puddle ( water covered the windshield)... after I came back outta Walmart I tried to crank it and the starter just clicked..

any ideas what I need to do? I'm stuck at Walmart...

I pulled the terminals and brushed em out along with the posts and the battery still ain't gettin a good connection

Check the connections at the battery. loose or heavy corrosion..

no matter how many times I've changed the terminals or the battery it always gets really heavy corrosion..

it was solid with green before I cleaned em

Could the blast of water have knocked off the vehicle ground to the frame or starter wires? Check the starter and solenoid too...

Could be coincidence and you have an expired battery gone dead. Since you are at Walmart, but another. Make sure to clean those terminals with a wire brush. Hopefully no water made its way into the fuse box!!! Good luck!

Next time you clean the terminals, pour baking soda on them, or cover them completely with vasoline.

Never heard of the vasoline method but baking soda does help. On older rides I usually paint the outer part of the terminals with Rustoleum but make sure the center is clean for good conductivity with battery.

jump the starter solenoid

had a old ranger that would eat through solenoids in mud and water

alright I got a good connection now all I need is a jump... thanks for all the help and stuff to keep corrosion off the battery
