I test drove both, and the ford with anything but the 18's seem to shake vibrate a little. Chevy doesn't
The Chevy has no vents in the rear for AC, but the Ford does and add Seat Heating...
The 6.2L enigine on the Chevy is FUN! on the Ford the 5.0 is ok fun but not as much as the Silverado. The F150 V6 ECO, is just business...Which is good if you don't want to hear that drone of the v-8 towing the boat up the hill...
I'm not sure what to do and I want to try and get some of the Discounts for Memorial day
I have a 2008 Tacoma now...

I had a similar experience... I went with the Ford as it has better quality, better resale, and is the market leader. Additionally Ford didn't take government money nor did it declare bankruptcy. These items matter to me... 2014 FX4 with navigation, leather, and 5.0L.

Ford makes a much MUCH better truck. But the GM 6.2 is a far superior engine to anything you can get in a F-150. Tough spot to be in. I know what I'd do. I'd go Ford 5.0.

Start on top of the page, Troubleshooting, Recalls/Service Bulletins. There should be some fine reading there, with 1,745 topics to choose from.
The engine forum has mucho interesting reading also. Have fun!
Where to start???

Wait, somebody found a 6.2L? I thought those were more rare than a unicorn wearing a pink leotard.

If you get the Chevy, you'll have to track down some square tires. Might be kind of hard

The GM vibration issues scares me. That is probably the only reason I didn't go back to a Silverado. Also the F-150 has much better crash ratings--primarily the overlap front. The Silverado scores poor with leg protection-perhaps a coincidence but I know a man who was hit in a Silverado and his leg was severely injured.
The GM probably has better quality control and the 6.2 is a beast.
