My two 2016's when bought were as yours are now just over the ford recomended replace mileage !!
Both my trks stumbled @ most traffic lights....I immediately had the plugs changed & trks ran fine afterwards...
Most people that lease a truck or plan to trade in the near future do not change the spark plugs when needed !!
Use only Motocraft spark plugs...They work well !!

I’ll replace them regardless with the boots abs springs

They do not, they purchase branding on plugs made to their specs by actual manufacturers.

I'm told NGK are now the ford suppliar for ford plugs !!
See above - and yes, i too saw that, even if not currently, they were at one point supposed to be a supplier to them.

My biggest issue is for the same engine, the plug model numbers under Motorcraft's branding keep on changing - plug technicalities don't change like that, i assume it's requests from Ford for pricing. I know with NGK that i'll get the right plug, and it's already made with their complete and suited specifications, their model number doesn't change, the quality is the highest.
