Default Heat from cup holders?

I have a ‘17 Lariat. I noticed for the first time yesterday that the cup holders had heat coming from them.

This wouldn’t surprise me had I had my heat on, but I was running the A/C.

Is this something internally that I should be concerned about? Or essentially, is there an easy explanation for this?

Welcome.
I have not noticed this, but will check the next time I go out..
..............................I do notice that the storage area between the seats is cool, even if the heat is on..

I'm not familiar with the interior of a '17. But many trucks have the console, with the cup holders sitting directly over the transmission. It's not unusual for the transmission hump to be a little warm on any vehicle. I've never noticed an issue with my "14 Ford, but the cup holders on my Tacoma will get a little warm because of the layout of the console.
