I would read the fine print very carefully. If they are going to say "bring your truck in and we'll gladly replace all your spark plugs for free and while where here we're happy to give you a free brake job", then you could be on to something. You may get labor free and have to pay the same couple hundred dollars in parts.

I'll stop breaking it down, however if you can get every single item for free parts/labor it is worth consideration. Again, brakes for free and plugs for free (including free labor) sounds like a long shot.

You know that when something sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

I do also, but I guarantee they will not do an oil and filter every 5k just because.

I've seen this same thing from other dealers in a few states.
cAn you post up a copy of the ‘stipulations’ that they refer to but do not disclose on their website? Would be interesting to see that fine print.

.This is their website, owners can log in and get more details. Engine warranty is supposedly valid at other dealers across country.

website doesn’t disclose the ‘stipulations’ aka the details. Sounds deceptive (on their part). But wouldn’t expect a real “lifetime” engine warranty that is “free”. Just thought it would be interesting to see the real fine print.

My guess is its free as long as you bring the car to them for service, needed repairs and the items they point out that need repair. I had a transmission go out on a used truck that I bought from a dealer that had one of their for life warranties. They tried to tell me that It did not qualify for warranty at 129K, because I had not had the trans serviced. I said excuse me, recheck your records because one of the stipulations when I bought it at 95K, was that you service the trans, which you said you did. They replaced the transmission.

FROM YOUR OWNER'S MANUAL
Your vehicle is equipped with an oil life monitor. If your information display resets prematurely or becomes inoperative, you should perform the oil change interval at six months or 5,000 mi (8,000 km) from your last oil change. Never exceed one year or 10,000 mi (16,000 km) between oil change intervals.

service manual
- oil and oil filter change every 5,000 miles (ACTUALLY OIL LIFE MONITOR AND UP TO 10,000 MILES OR ONE YEAR)
- tire rotation every 5,000 miles (DOES NOT INCLUDE BALANCING)
- spark plugs 60,000 (ONLY IF YOU HAVE THE POWER OUTLET IN THE BED) and 100,000 miles
- brake fluid every 3 years
- cabin filter every 20,000 miles
- engine air filter - as needed or 30,000 miles
- wind shield wipers as needed
-- drive belt 100,000 miles (INSPECT ONLY - REPLACEMENT IS AT 150,000 MILES)
- all fuel filters every 30,000 miles (THE FUEL FILTER IS NOT SERVICEABLE)
- replace brake pads as required (THE COST IS ROLLED INTO THE ROTOR AND CALIPER, WHICH I BELIEVE ARE NOT COVERED)
- etc etc etc

If I was buying a Jeep Cherokee with their repair problems then it would be whether to have a 3-year lease or pay for an extended warranty. For a Ford F-150 it is pure profit for the greedy dealers. Profit margin on extended warranties is more than 90% so very lucrative for the dealer and whoever is carrying the paper on the agreement. Normal repairs are often not covered and this can include a water pump or battery and any emissions controls are warranties for the miles mandated by the feds.
