not really. I know people who have a good relationship with the dealer. they will come and pick their car up during the workday, service it, bring it back at the end of the day. no down time

I wish I could find a dealer near by that I could trust like that, hell I just wish I could find one that when I came in actually acted interested in helping me! All dealers near me are horrible so I just try to avoid them unless absolutely necessary.

It seems like ever since the car market crashed and dealers are now far and few between that the dealers take on an attitude of "Deal with us, or drive an hour in the other direction and see if their service is better!"

yeah I guess it's just family friends. If you grow up in a small town you know people in the dealership. i realize not everyone can do that

true story.

but i agree, i don't trust the idiots at jiffy lube. ever. so i turn my own wrenches on my vehicle and several of my families. saves the $$$$'s.

This should have been titled, do you change your own oil? if not f u hahaha

Ha don't talk about my customers like that LOL it is sad my school there are some sweet trucks mostly dodges lifted diesels and some punk 18 year old freshmen with his pants down to his knees and a hat with the sticker still on it makes me sick then i relise i have 100 times more fun with my truck working on it then they ever had in there life they want to pay me 50 bucks an hour to change there muffler bearing or 20 bucks to fill up there blinker fluid let them LOL

(just kidding i will never screw someone over with there vehicle there are to many who do that already)

Yeah, I usually end up being the "town truck mechanic" but of course I'm inviting everyone over to work on thier trucks cuz I find it fun and I like free beer! I don't do cars, I don't find em very fun to fit under haha
