Default Gryphon tuner

I'm Thinking of buying a gryphon tuner, does anyone have experience with these. I have a 97 f150 with an auto 4.6l. The gryphon cs offers multiple modes for economy, performance, and towing. Just trying to figure out if the claims are true and if it's worth nearly 400$

Those old 2V motors (97-03) do not respond as well as the new trucks do in terms of adding actucal horsepower BUT the transmission shifting is worth a lot in those trucks. I have an 03 with the 5.4 and the truck definately does not work as hard to maintain speed on grades but the biggest differance is definately in the firmer quicker shifts in the tranny. If your truck is all stock I would get a can tuner and save $100 but if you plan to get the most out of say a CAI then go with the Gryphon.
