Comparing my 14 RWD to my 16 4WD FX4 is apples to oranges, the 14 road better. It could be the lack of front running gear that made the difference, but the 16 does not ride as smooth even with Bilstiens.

The 16+ only have off road shocks up front, no mention if springs are different, but should be stated in the build guide if they are, but not listed, so anybody's guess. I have used the hill descent while hauling my TT around a campsite that had a really steep hill and it worked quite well.

Would I spend the extra money for it? Nope. It just happened to be on the truck.
