Fuel additives?

Default Fuel additives?

Got a 2016,5.0 would it be advantagous to add a fuel additive every once in a while to keep injectors and things clean or is it a waste of money?

Discussed many times. Read your manual. Ford recommends you NOT use them.

Just use top tier fuel [not referring to octane] it has all the detergent you need.

Rather than wasting money I would recommend reading your owners manual.

Wow. such haters.

Techron/PEA based stuff works really well, works best with a lot of soak time & heat cycles (not a road trip). Almost required to have a shot of getting the 3v spark plugs out.

Best thing is to keep your fuel filter changed often.

Eric,I use and is recommended Techron in my Corvette but didn't know about F150.

He has a 16 which means plugs are not an issue and fuel filter is lifetime.

I agree, stick with additives containing PEA. Techron or Gumout Regane for me.
