Front Camera Malfunction / Collision avoidance warning
In late October I bought a brand new 2020 F-150 , the dealership did a 2"leveling kit and swapped out the tires to Nitto Grapplers 33''s. After 1000 miles of driving, I started getting a front camera malfunction alert as well as a collision avoidance alert. Meaning I have to clear two alerts every time the truck starts. The dealership swapped out the camera but that wasn't the issue, it still said camera malfunction. They have had the truck for almost two weeks now and no luck. Has anyone on here experienced these issues?
That's interesting. My 2019 did this once randomly over the weekend and then disappeared never to come back again (knock on wood). I had been using my wipers but for bugs on the windshield but there was no snow/obvious blockage. I'm curious to see what you find out.
Bought my 2020 xlt in may and has worked as intended. Starting about a month ago I started receiving the same two messages only in the morning about 7:00am when I drove out of my neighborhood. Started doing it when the low temps started dipping in the 30’s and 40’s. Only correlation I’ve observed. Hope that helps
My bad! 🤦♂️ I clearly stopped reading before that. 2 weeks is a lifetime without a diagnosis so I hope they gave you a vehicle. I wouldn’t accept that. Seems like someone didn’t do a good job on the camera install. It if that was the case, I can’t imagine it would take 2wks to figure it out. Unless my truck won’t start or run, I hate letting the dealer sit on it. They better have a damn good explanation.
