That just pisses me off to no end, FORD had to know going in that Microsoft was crap,, everyone else does. Windows OS is junk, Microsoft is riddled with glitches, viruses, worms, bugs, and OS incompetence. Now all of us who have this POC system in our truck will be stuck looking for software upgrades for years to come..I am glad FORD waved the white flag and decided to go with a more competent software company..Microsoft should do itself a favor and sell off to Apple or Google and just disappear..

Oh, good god NO! For everything that is good in this world please don't let Apple get their sticky hands all over whatever system Ford decides to use. iOS is friggin' terrible. I'd much rather have them use an Android based system now. At least then if you don't like it you can just hook a laptop up to it Unlock it and then Root it to give you the ability to install whatever Android system you so please. You put an iOS system on it and you might as well call it Ford HAL-9000.

Not wanting to get into an Android vs. iOS argument.....but do you really think Ford would allow that to happen? (Talking about allowing us to modify the OS of the new Sync)

"Train wreck"

Great description. I thought it was just me. I mean something as simple as the Line In override when all I ever use is USB for my iPod. STYNC can't remember which connection I last used, even when it hasn't been disconnected. Dship always tells me it's an upgrade fix...NOT. And that's the simple stuff. A really sorry, sorry system.

Do you think any carrier wants us to modify the OS of our phones? The answer is no. Most times when you root and unlock or an Android you void the warranty and if something does break and you take the phone in even if you re-root and re-lock the carrier will know it was unlocked and rooted. It still doesn't stop people though.

Also, there is no debate. Android is far superior to iOS.

You want Apple telling you when and where you can drive your truck?

I'm not impressed with the fact that QNX is owned by the same folks that manage BlackBerry. We all know that BB has falling drastically behind the other mobile designers and now they're grasping at the straw to play catch-up. Will they let this happen to Ford now?

Hmmm, I wonder which mobile designer could actually make this work...

Nope.... but it looks, if you use this place as a comparison, that we are in the minority.
