Ford or Chevy Most Popular?

Loyalty
I see brand loyalty in the truck world is very similar to what its like in the bike world. I drive a Ford, I ride a Honda. The Chevy guys rag on me for my Ford, and the Harley guys rag on me for my Honda. Most (truck&bike) are all in good fun and it doesnt bother me one bit. I dont care what the next guy prefers.
In the spirit of all in good fun....I did design a great Ford Truck commercial (in my mind) back when Chevy had a different slogan.
My idea was to show an F-450 or so Diesel dually with a dump bed carrying a Chevy Silvarado across its bed.
When the commercial opens all you see is the grill of the Chevy, and one would assume its a Chevy ad. Then the camera backs out and you see that the Chevy is being toted, in reverse...the Ford stops at the edge of a cliff, raises the bed, the Chevy falls into deep water.
When the underwater camera picks up the sinking truck, the caption appears...
"Like a WHAT?"

Exactly. For years now I've had to listen to these GM fanboys in my area spout their baseless anti-Ford BS like a broken record. And when I'm driving along minding my own business it's so easy to spot who hates my lifted Ranger, because they make it so obvious. It's ALWAYS a Silverado or Ram. It's never anyone else. And I'm sorry, but getting all proud because you beat a little 160hp V6 Ranger with a 300hp V8 fullsize proves nothing other than that you have a noodle for a ***** and an even smaller IQ. Putting up with this for 10+ years is why I talk so much **** on them now. I don't hate any brand, but they sure do. So your accusation applies to them a whole lot more than me.

Sorry, but that reminds me too much of everything that's wrong in politics, as well as many other similar things.
Rather than attack the competition, I think it's best to explain/show what you have to offer and why we should want it.
Attack ads are just of juvenile and cheap.
Chevy did it recently with the bit in one of their commercials that went something like "... and by nobody, we mean Ram and Ford.."
They were referencing that some stat or whatever, on their new Silverado, was beaten by nobody, then went on to define "nobody", as Ram and Ford.
Obviously not realizing that they had inadvertently just said that Ram and Ford, by their own definition of "nobody", were actually better, so the joke was technically on them, but I don't think the average viewer understood the accidental irony either way. But I digress..
Anyway, attack ads are dumb IMO. They cater to a certain mentality, one which they shouldn't be proud of catering to.

By the way, if you combine Chevy/GM - there were more of them sold in 2012 than F150s, if that even means anything, one way or the other
343,186 F150s
369,686 Chevy/GMs
343,186 F150s
369,686 Chevy/GMs

Ill tell you what is really wrong with our society.......someone started a rumor (that caught on) in the late 70's that people had the right to never be offended or have their precious feelings hurt.
People need to get over it

Seriously man, they're just vehicles, lighten up, calm down.
I'm ashamed to be part of any group that acts the way that you're acting over something so trivial.
Keep in mind, owning the same make/model vehicle as another guy does not mean you have anything else in common with him. I constantly have to remind myself of this while reading posts like yours.
Some of you guys get a little carried away over brand loyalty.
It's a multibillion dollar company, they sold you a machine. Relax.
