I’ve been wanted a new truck for a few years. I finally pulled the trigger on a 2019 Screw 302a with the 3.5 Ecoboost and Max Tow. I didn’t get the 20 inch wheels, and it bums me out that I need them for the big tow rating. However I think I can make do with 10,700 pounds🤪!
The 3.5 motor is amazing. I love the power, but I’ve been babying it. I’m averaging over 20 mpg in mixed driving (20.3 as of tonight after over 600 miles), and a tank has lasted over two weeks of driving.
My first mod was a Line-x bed liner. The Line-x dealer did a crappy job and left a big run on the bed, but I think I can live with it.
My first load was totally apropos, $25 worth of Michigan aluminum can returns and a couple of bags of cement.
I live down the road from the Dearborn Rouge plant, and a lot of my neighbors work for Ford. I’m happy to support them. My wife and I are looking at campers, and I can wait to get out on the road this summer.

Weird, my payload in my 5.0 truck is 1950. I figured a max tow vehicle would be higher.

It really depends on what options your truck has. My friend has the exact same truck with 20 inch wheels and BLIS, and his total payload rating is 16 pounds less than mine. Basically, the fewer options you have, the more payload will be available.

That makes sense then, mine is an STX.
