1...enter factory code
2..press 1.2 on the keypad within 5 seconds
3..enter your new code
4...press 1.2 to save.

This programs an additional code, but the original code will still work as well.

The factory code does come printed on a white credit card sized plastic card from the factory. It's one of the first things I look for to make sure it's included when I check in new vehicle deliveries at my dealer.

OP, there is some misinformation in this thread. The factory code can be changed, it will need to be done by a dealer and you will need the original factory code and tell them your desired code, and most likely you will need all your keys with the truck.

Contact your local dealer ask them to verify. We have done a couple here for folks in situations like yours. They will charge you a programming fee. Ours is $75 for comparison. Hope this helps.

Or the OP can take off his door panel and unplug the keypad until he figures out what he wants to do.
