My 2013 Navigation system is driving me nuts!

It does not understand my voice controls and it is difficult to enter addresses manually. I did not have this problem in my 2011 F150 system.

Any suggestions?

 

Ford has an android app. .not sure about iPhone that's called destinations. .pick where ya wanna go then send it to sync

 

There has been some discussion that you could unhook your negative battery cable, and the Nav would reset. I haven't had the problems you have, but mine will do some off roading from time to time. We also have a Ford SYNC Rep here that is very helpful. I think it's called the "Ford IVT Team." Sometimes they even pick up on these post. Good luck.

 

Did you check the Ford Owner website for the system Sync update? I downloaded it to a USB stick and then loaded it.

I did mine shortly after buying mine in July 2013. It did fix some bugs.

In addition, I just upgraded my maps to the A5. The map update however is not part of your problem.

 

My navigation and mytouch was acting really stupid not too long ago, someone who works at ford told me to do a master reset in the settings, and it seemed to have fixed my problems.

 

Can you detail what's going on when you're trying to enter the address manually? In regards to voice controls, does the system understand some of voice controls or none?
