F150 lifted height
hello guys,
so i'm still trying to figure out if i get a 4inch lift kit for my truck or if i get a 6 inch lift...
I would like to know if someone could give me the cab height or the bottom of the door height (or basically any other height dimension) on his 09+ lifted f150
so that i could figure things out more clearely
thanks in advance

Remember the tire size you choose will change the height as well, I assume you will have 35s?
I hear most people say that if they get a 4" they regret not going 6 especially since it's basically the same price
I like 4" look with 35s and some stance but it's up to you what you want for practicality as well
As for height, I have no idea

Thanks for the quick respond,
i will run 35 in summer but i will have to run 33 for winter (its the law in montreal) so thats why i think 4 inch would be better but as you said i'm afraid i will regret it after...

Montreal and there damn laws lol especially for winter
Well winter is more than half the year and 33s with 6" may look kinda off imo
Could you get away with 35s in the winter? (Yes I know snow tires are a must for you guys)

yess dawn quebec laws!
well in fact i didnt wrote it well the law is that you need approved winter tires in the winter season so the trouble is to find 35's that are approved (and that are not $$$$ because its only for snow and calcium)
so yeah i think i might go with a 4 inch lift but i'd really like to know the height to make sure 4 inch is really noticeable...

for what it's worth ... here's a pic of my 2008 FX4 with NO level and NO lift ... the ride height is STOCK.
Now, here is my 2014 with a 1.5" level/lift on it, and 2.2" taller tires than stock ... and it IS noticeable at only that small amount.
Add almost 3" more of lift to it, and you can believe it will definitely be noticeable. Personally, if I ever decide to change from the level to a lift, it will be a 4" lift. I think 4" is plenty high enough, as it will allow 35" tires easily, keeps a little bit lower center of gravity, easier to get in/out, easier to jack up if you need to, so on and so forth. Long story short, there's nothing I won't be able to do with a 4" lift other than MAYBE fit even bigger tires on it vs. a 6" lift. And quite frankly, I think if you have a 6" lift, even 35" tires look to be on the smaller side ... and that the truck would look a LOT better with 37" tires - which I wouldn't do anyway.
