Default Bed Liner fitment

Hello everybody!! This is not my first F150 but it is my first time on a forum. I have a question for all the trucks with drop in liners. On the front corners of my 2010 up top where the liner should tuck up under the side rails the liner on my truck seems to fall short on the width. This leaves a gap to fill up with water because it isn't covered by the side rail caps...does anyone else have this issue? Is it REALLY an issue? Also the tie downs don't completely cover the pre-cut holes leaving a place for water to get in under the liner as well. My liner is a OEM Ford liner so I thought it would fit better without any gaps any where.

Sounds like you don't have the correct liner.

highly unlikely its the wrong liner seeing that the body styles haven't changed for several years...and it a OEM liner

Same in my liner that came with the truck from Ford. Its normal. Remember this is cheap molded plastic not a Boeing weapons system. A tiny bit of water may get under it but it will drain and dry. Or you could remove in and get a spray in.

Just because it came with the truck doesn't mean it came from the factory. My 13 had one when I bought it, and it fit correctly. Had mine LineXed last week. I like that better.

Only my opinion but I don't think spray in liners hold up on REAL WORKING trucks. They may be great for the weekend warrior but for heavy duty loading and unloading, all day everyday, they don't last. I've witnessed to many spray-ins ripping, being gouged, chipping away, etc...and the answer is NOT just go have it resprayed. Down time is real $$$ lost on a working truck.

Spray in look good but I suppose everything is gona wear if you are really working it. The advantage to spray in is no water accumulating between the metal and your plastic bed liner. They cost $400 vs free though. My last truck came with nothing so I bought a $80 rubber bed mat. Worked great and it was cheap.

Yeah that liner must be for a different truck or just flat out poor quality control.

Never been a fan of those drop in hard plastic liners, everything slides around like a pinball, had a rubber mat (still do) and it's great for holding things in place but offers no protection for the sides of the box, don't like the idea of the prep for spray in liners (they sand down the paint finish so it adheres) so I was left with the only solution for my wants, hugs every curve as if it was sprayed in, does not require any paint destruction for install, easily removed if needed, impervious, easy on the knees if crawling around in the bed (kid friendly), cargo does not slide around at all.

Bedtred, made by the same company that makes Bedrug......
