Default Exhaust

Hello everyone, l am new to the F150 site and would like to make myself known.

I have a problem that I am sure a very capable person with the right knowledge can help.

I have recently (In the last 4-5 months) installed a new Magnaflow muffler, had the resonator deleted, and had a chrome pipe welded on. But the problem lies in the sound, drone, and intimidating growl that I am lacking.

I still have all the cats and someday's it sounds like I just don't have a Magnaflow on there at all, I can hear and feel the drone and the growl, but it is nothing even remotely close to what I paid for and I need to know how to make my baby turn some heads.

If anyone has some suggestions or ideas please let me know.

Put a different muffler on it. I wouldn't be able to suggest to you which one would be louder though. I'm sure someone will be by shortly to give you a some options.

Magnaflow is about the quietest muffler you can put on your truck.

Put the resonator back on and straight pipe/no can all the way back. No drone and the exhaust will have an aggressive note to it.

I can vouch for that, I have a Magnaflow cat back system and it's very mild, just a tad louder than stock until you nail the go pedal.

Thanks for the advice guys, the local muffler store has suggested a Jones full bore, I am looking at removing the cats and putting either that or a Flowmaster 50 on. Which one of those has the best sound without having to get on the gas, I am looking for a tough rumble even at idle and a steady pace. Suggestions?

Straight pipes with all cats might be good. I have a glasspack in place of factory muffler. Sounds pretty good. Here's a clip from when I first had it installed 4yrs ago. It's louder now.

I like your setup and I have thought about glasspacks, but seeing as how I am not troubled by the local law enforcement I am trying to up the decibels a little. I have seen Spintech 9000 push out some good sound, and some of the Flowmasters as well, I am debating on removing my cats and just putting a muffler.

All great information but I am wondering if Ford makes a factory Dual exhaust setup for the 5.0 Engine and the new 2015 F-150. I thought I saw something on one of the do it yourself shows showing the set up but cannot find it anymore.
Any thoughts or ideas?
Thanks

If I am correct you can run dual on any truck, you just have to requisition it from the muffler shop and they will modify your exhaust. Depending of your exhaust setup and muffler, you may need either an X pipe or Y to run dual exits. I am actually planning on doing the same thing Touring, so when others answer this I will be getting answers too.

If I am wrong I do ask that I am corrected immediately so I do not provide false information, I will not be offended by constructive correction from one who is more versed in exhaust and vehicle repair than I.
