Default Engine Stalls at higher rpms

Truck starts fine and drives ok at a slow and steady increase in speed but if I make it go over about 2000 rpms the motor dies and then won't restart for about a half hour. Any ideas as to what is wrong?

No because I have no idea what truck you have. Year, engine, mileage, mods...
