I've been working on cleaning my engine bay. It's coming along but I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on how to get to the firewall. I'm 5' 10" and even on a ladder I'm having trouble reading it. I don't use an engine degreaser and I suppose I could take it and have it done but I was wondering if anyone had ideas. Scrubbing Bubble Bathroom Cleaner is another trick we learned in the car show world, if it is really dirty use the Dawn like gDMJoe suggested if not so bad the Scrubbing Bubbles works really good also. Spray on let soak then rinse with the hose.
SteveLord - What exactly should you cover up in the F150 bay?
Nothing really. Just don't overboard rinse-spraying. meaning: Low pressure. Low flow. And don't flood the electronics.
Be sure to blow-dry with compressed air (if available) or (say) a leaf blower or shop-vac (reverse the normal whoosy, whirly, sucky action). And focus on the nooks and crannies.
