Question Engine Bay Cleaning

I've been working on cleaning my engine bay. It's coming along but I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on how to get to the firewall. I'm 5' 10" and even on a ladder I'm having trouble reading it. I don't use an engine degreaser and I suppose I could take it and have it done but I was wondering if anyone had ideas. I'm further along than this picture shows.

What are you using to wash it? With a pressure washer wand, if you are trying to use rags, I can understand your struggle

Invisible cleaner and yes rags. Yes a struggle but not too bad. It's rather not use a pressure washer as I don't have a space to really do that.

A spray bottle with a solution of warm water and...

Let it soak for a bit and then rinse-off using garden hose at low pressure. Repeat if necessary.

*Cuts grease, is environmently safe, +(plus) smells nice.

Scrubbing Bubble Bathroom Cleaner is another trick we learned in the car show world, if it is really dirty use the Dawn like gDMJoe suggested if not so bad the Scrubbing Bubbles works really good also. Spray on let soak then rinse with the hose.

What exactly should you cover up in the F150 bay?

Nothing really. Just don't overboard rinse-spraying. meaning: Low pressure. Low flow. And don't flood the electronics.

Be sure to blow-dry with compressed air (if available) or (say) a leaf blower or shop-vac (reverse the normal whoosy, whirly, sucky action). And focus on the nooks and crannies.

I always try to wrap the the alternator with a plastic bag or wrap a towel around it, same with the PCM but with a towel only as a bag isn’t big enough
