OP, there should be 3 screws to take the headlight out, 2 close to the radiator and one on top IIRC

I am confused. is it somewhere towards the front of the truck behind the headlights? or is more towards the firewall/back of engine bay/base of the windshield. if its the back of the engine bay, I would say to unbolt the bottom of the fender.

I had a similar situation when changing a blower motor on my S10. my tools fell down into the unknown area at the bottom of the firewall. I had to unbolt the bottom of the front fender and reach up inside to find my wrench and socket.

good luck.

You were right. I just unscrewed the plastic around the front left tire in the wheel wells and reached in and it was there. Was stuck in some of the frame but managed to get it out luckily. Thank goodness. Had work tomorrow.

Good to hear. For what it's worth, don't ever take your truck to Crappy Tire. Ask around, find a good mechanic, or get your pops or a buddy to show you how to do some wrenching, hahah.

Sorry, problem solved by the time I went to post. If I knew how to delete this, I would.

The inner fender panel could probably be pulled loose by removing a few screws, I haven't had to do any real work to my truck yet but if you start at the bottom and remove a few screws you could probably get the phone to fall out. Good luck.

Good advice, Before i bought my truck i new a bit of automotive work from high school auto class mainly oil changes and and brake jobs on old POS beaters. But after being on hear for well over a year I've read up a lot of fixing and moding these trucks and I've been doing all my own work. My dad is always surprised on what I've been doing by myself to it which he would never have a clue on what and how do it. The best example is when i wrapped my snowmobile around a stump and i had to replace the front frame so i had the whole thing torn down from the engine forward, and i learned how to do this by reading a ski-doo forum. If i were you i would educate myself on how to do stuff from reading the forum and go out to crappy tire and buy a couple hundred piece socket set (buy mastercraft or Stanley professional series). Don't waste your money on the ****ty sets they have and wait till there on sale for 70% which seem to be all the time.
