Default Electric power Steering Rack

I recently purchased a 2014 F150. I am less than thrilled with the electric power assist steering. There is excessive play in the steering and a noticeable wheel wobble when braking. I am interested in installing a new rack.
Does anyone know what I will need for introducing the new electronics to the ECU and CAN bus systems?
or if there is a way to adjust out the play?

Check out the Forscan thread. You can pull the parameters from your current rack, then program the new one. I did it, with a rockauto rack.

I take you're certain it's a sloppy rack and nothing relating to tie rods, tie rod ends, etc. or even the mounts for the steering rack assembly itself.

I would look at the tie rod ends, wheels bearing/hubs and new brakes before a new rack.

yes I am certain that it is the rack. I have traced the slack from both ends. And it is definitely in the gearbox on the rack.

yep I was hoping it was something simple. No such luck.
