has anyone ever heard f the E4Od breaking the tail shaft on the 4x4 trans? all of a sudden out of nowhere mine broke. now next question does anyone have any clue where to get one for a 96 f-250 4x4? couldnt seem to get the guy at ford to want to help me out he had 10 mins til he was goin home. appearently didnt wanna make that last sale of the day. this is the piece thatconnects the tranfer case to the trans. that the trans mount bolts to. any help would be much appreciated thank you in advance.....

 

That is a hard piece to get. Go back to Ford would be your best bet. You MIGHT get one in a salvage yard. Check with the local tranny shop they may have on on an empty case laying around.
